Walking and Running Training for the Overweight
by admin
Walking and running are regarded by many health experts as among the easiest and most effective exercises. These exercises do not require any expensive equipment and are beneficial not just for one’s cardiovascular health but also for the whole body. Walking and running are also highly recommended for obese individuals as calorie burning exercises.
The body structure of obese individuals is different from normal people and hence strenous activity like running and walking affects their bodies differently. Because of the additional weight, the joints and muscles in the hips and legs undergo additional stress and are at risk if these activities are done without proper training.
There are very few information resources available for people about running overweight. However, there are training courses available by some experienced formerly overweight runners that can give a good idea to overweight individuals on how to go about planning an extensive walking and running regimen for weight-loss as well as continued good health.
